Scott Tucker lived a life as a private equity magnate who became a professional race care driver just recently. Currently, he moved to the LMP2 category and together with his Level 5 Motorsport team, they created prototypes that they can use for future races. Before he moved to LMP2, he was part of the winning team for the Le Mans Series, annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring and Intercontinental Le Mans Cup World Championship.
However, his achievements did not stop there and a month after the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup World Championship, he became victorious in the ALMS season held at Long beach for making a tremendous performance in the race despite of his debut in that particular race. Due to this, Scott Tucker along with his co-drivers Christophe Bouchut and Joao Barbosa, was able to achieve podium finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans under the competitive prototype division with Tucker earning the highest-placed American driver in this particular race.
His race during the ALMS season is considered as his greatest milestone in his career as he became one of the few race car drivers who were able to get podium finishes for all endurance races that he competed in. Thus, his achievements included placing third in the Daytona race held in 2010, consecutive class wins from 2010 to 2011 for the Twelve Hours of Sebring, third place in the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans and class win for the Petit Le Mans.
Aside from these achievements, he was also able to record his 50th win in his career in 2010 which is very impressive considering that he started his career later in his life and on 2006. The year 2010 became his best season since he was able to achieve a lot of things. Aside from the inaugural of American Le Mans Series LMPC drivers, he also got the Rookie-of-the-Year for his class wins and excellent performance.
Aside from these winnings, he was also able to win other competitions including the Ferrari Challenge Series which earned him vice champion. Moreover, he was also able to win consecutively in the SCCA Nation Championship T1 driving title with his Ferrari 430. He never stopped competing from the time he joined to date.
With his many achievements, this resulted to Ferrari entrusting him to become the test driver for Ferrari 599XX supercar. He was also the first American to test the Audi R10 TDI on the race tracks of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2010 with Team Kolles. Due to his inspirational story, he also became one of the highlights in the documentary film "Daytona Dream".
