There are more than 25 cities in the US that hold the Color Run 5K annually. At the end of the race, the runners will be a lot more colorful and happier because this is not a run-of-the-mill 5K. Even those who come in last are sure to end the race with smiles on their faces. Members of the race will get to have their plain white t-shirts colored for free, and they will also get a free race t-shirt upon completion. Part of the money that is gathered during the registration process will be donated to a local charity.
The suggested attire for runners at the start of the race is a white t-shirt. Every five minutes after the race starts, the Color Bomb Squad will toss colored corn starch at the athletes. Those plain white tees will rapidly become beautiful multicolored masterpieces. The colors that are usually tossed are purple, pink, blue, yellow, and green, and each leg of the race has its own color. No toxic chemicals or paints are getting thrown at the runners, and it is just colored corn starch.
Racers and volunteers alike will get a free t-shirt for their participation in the event. There will be food, drinks, and music at the end of the race in a celebration thrown by the sponsors. None of this will take place before the grand finale where all finishers get to throw handfuls of color and happiness at one another.
Some of the money that is collected in the Color Run 5K is given back to a charity located in the community. More than 25 charities in the US are being supported since the Color Run 5K occurs in 25 different cities. The Color Run San Diego will be giving its money to Deaf Community Services of San Diego. The charity's objective is to improve the lives of the deaf and hard of hearing community through services, education, and advocacy.
People will get exercise, have fun, and have an overall great day if they get involved in the Color Run 5K. Individuals will feel better for participating, and they will also be able to say that they helped give anything back to the people in their community. You will meet great people and have a wonderful time either in San Diego or any of the other host cities in the US.
