Puerto Penasco Mexico, or better yet, Rocky Point Mexico is a vacation place for Americans for as far back as I can remember. A quaint little fishing village that is situated only 45 minutes past the border town of Sonoita, it offers tranquility and the simple things in life.
Miles of unaltered and undisturbed sand used to line the coast of Rocky Point Mexico with you often seeing folks camping with tents along the beach. Condos are now lining the skyline and have taken over the sands of Sandy Beach. Even though you are not allowed to ride your off road vehicles along the beach now, there are plenty of things to do when visiting beautiful Puerto Penasco.
The towering condos have become a booming business in the quaint town of Puerto Penasco. The economy has had dollars come pouring in along with tons of jobs and tourism. Retirement homes are now the name of the game for the baby boomers who want to retire there. The condos have also become an investment option for companies and local investors from Arizona.
It is amazing to see dolphins cruising by in the ocean when you are relaxing on your patio at one of the condos. Another thing that I like to watch is the nightly routine of the shrimping boats that go out at night on their voyage out to harvest shrimp. On the other side of the coin, people watching during the day is another way to pass the time leisurely. No matter what you are doing, Rocky Point is one of the most relaxing places to visit and it remains a simple trek just across the border.
Roads have opened up so people from California can drive to Rocky Point without any problems. Fights are opening up as well to fly into Rocky Point on a regular basis. There is a Mayan Palace also situated on the outskirts of town only 10 minutes away. The food in Rocky Point is exquisite and a delight.
There is a plethora of activities to do in Arizona's beach town which include: fishing, dinner cruises, canoeing, laying out in the sun, walking along the beach, whale watching and much more. No matter what you like to do, you will certainly find something to do. What remains a favorite for all folks is the beautiful sunsets that are in Rocky Point.
Rocky Point is being heralded as a premier destination and was recently on Househunters International. From a global perspective, it has arrived. This won't change anytime soon as a cruise ship will be seen in Rocky Point in the very near future offering places to visit around the gulf. This town has grown leaps and bounds over the last 10 years and I can't wait to see the next ten.
