China Travel Visa Requirements For Foreigners

By Vicki Diaz

These days, many foreigners from both the western world and the eastern world have been fascinated with mainland China because it is such an interesting place to go. Not only is it one of the biggest powerhouses when it comes to economic growth, but it is also a place known for its tourism. So if one is interested in going to this beautiful land, then he should first secure some China travel visa requirements.

Now if a traveler would want to visit this beautiful country, then he must first have a passport. A passport is required for all people in the world if they would want to visit a foreign country legally. Without a passport it is impossible for one to acquire any visas because a passport is the most valid identification that one can have.

Now the next step into getting visas for this country would be to submit an application form in order to get this document. This is extremely important because this is the record that will show that the traveller has attained the said document legally. Also, do not forget to bring along a two by two recent passport photo because it has to be attached to the application form.

Depending where the traveller is from, the Chinese embassy at his country may require him to submit some additional documents to prove that he is a resident of the country that he is in. For example, the embassy may ask for proof of residence or even documents that shows that he is an employee in the country or papers that prove that he is doing business. In any case, it is the responsibility of the traveller to provide all of these.

Now some people have a family in the mainland and works overseas. For people in this type of situation, they must be able to present proof that he has living family members in the country before he would be able to proceed with the process. If he is married to a Chinese from the mainland, he must also be able to produce a copy of his marriage certificate.

Businessmen who want to put up a business in the mainland will have a tougher time because their chances of getting rejected are bigger. Now the first thing he must do is to send a business letter to the embassy and wait for it to get accepted. All details including company name, location, business partners, intentions, proposals and such must all be submitted along with the letter.

When all of these things are gathered, then the only thing left to do is to submit them to the embassy. He may either mail them the documents or just visit the embassy directly just in case some problems may arise. When that is done, one should just patiently sit on his chair and wait.

So if one would go to China, then he must first meet all of these China travel visa requirements. Usually, it would take long before one will know whether he is accepted. In any case, he has to just wait.
