The Top Paying Government Jobs

Working for the government has its benefits and issues. The benefits are that you are well taken care of, but at the risk of a high stress job and huge responsibilities. The majority of the top paying Federal executive roles are a part of the Senior Executive Service and are in relation to the most important man himself, the president.

One of the highest paying govt. positions you can land is the title of Chairperson of The government Reserve. The term for this job lasts for as long as fourteen to twenty-eight years. During this term you receive an income of $199,700. That salary does not come easily. Being The Chairman of The Federal Reserve consists of being in command of the government banking system of the U.S. You have to be in a position to dictate and explain precisely what direction the U.S. Financial policy is leading.

Another well paying government job is the title of Secretary of Treasury. This term can last approximately eight years with an income of $191,300. To become the Secretary of Treasury you need to be appointed by the President of the U. S.. You are used as the principal industrial confidant. Meaning you must be able to advocate tax policies, domestic and international fiscal issues, and manage the public debt.

The Secretary of State has a term of about eight years with a salary running at $186,600. Just like the Secretary of Treasury, the Secretary of State must be selected by the president. With this job description you oversee the state department operations including U.S. Consulates. You become responsible of foreign operations of the CIA, Defense Office, and Homeland Security.

If you become an Attorney on the government level you will make an income of $114,240. With this you research cases for the U.S. Department of justice. You also help with developing programs, translating laws, and civil and criminal cases on the behalf of the government.

The majority of the top paying roles are in direct work with Washington. This is simply a tiny portion of all of the best paying Federal vacancies.
