Spain and Cyprus Nightclubs For The Summer of Love

By Emily Collins

Holidays in Salou are great if you enjoy the clubbing scene, as are holidays to Cyprus and Ibiza. The nightlife at these destinations runs until dawn, and they are particularly busy during the summer months.

The main area in Salou for clubbing is Carlos Buigas, which is lined with bars and clubs. There are lots of different types of bars and clubs in Salou, for example, Christy McGrath's Irish Pub offers up live music every night, while Kiss Disco Bar features DJs spinning the latest tunes, or there is Zepplin Bar Salou which has both live music and a DJ.

Ibiza is the ultimate clubbing destination. While every night is a party, there are always lots of official events taking place, such as the Es Paradis Opening Party on May 18 featuring DJ Oliver, Sam Cannon, Alex Seda and Steeve Valverde.

It is the summer months when the nightlife really starts to take off and this is the season that most people prefer to take their holidays in Ibiza. In July, Pendulum, Flux Pavillion, Annie Mac and Skrillex perform at Amnesia on the 3rd, while the 10th sees Chase and Status and Shy FX at the club and Example at Eden.

Cyprus is another destination known for its clubbing scene, in particular Ayia Napa, which can be easily accessed from Paphos. Some of the best DJs in Britain flock to Ayia Napa to spin decks at the top Cyprus clubs. Castle Club is the biggest club in Cyprus, and houses three rooms with different music, as well as a VIP lounge and open air terrace. It has nine resident DJs and famous names regularly appearing such as Alex Kidd. If you like to stay out late, head to River Reggae, which is one of Ayia Napa's latest clubs. Not even opening until midnight, it has a chill-out area and a swimming pool, and is also home to the famous Russian Bikini Foam Party. Throughout the summer, it takes place every Saturday night, making holidays in Cyprus very lively.
