Motivating The Youth

By Ravin Gallmoed

Young people play a very important role in the society but they are often taken for gratned. The youth are next in line so they need as much guidance and encouragement. The elders need to encourage them to do good things like by giving medals and trophies for their achievements.

Apathy has always been a problem among young people. It is but natural for them to be more self-centered and this stage. But this doesn't mean that they should not be taught how to be better and think less of themselves.

Motivating the youth may seem so difficult if you take a look at how they are acting nowadays. But actually, the youth are still young people. They all have soft spots in their hearts. You can actually influence them into engaging in worthwhile activities aside from partying and having fun with their friends. You just need enough patience to try and motivate them even through simple gestures like giving trophies and medals.

One of the key factors that would motivate young people is to inject fun into the activities. If you want them to join you should prepare fun things for them to do. Adding up some games and other fun activities would be a good way to encourage them.

Teach them. young people are like sponges who like to absorb and learn new things. Teaching them would motivate them to participate more.

Another way to encourage them is to let them take the lead. It would be a great boost to their self-esteem to be in control.

Give them rewards for successes and accomplishments. This does not necessarily mean big prizes or grand awards. Simple gestures like giving them medals and trophies would already mean a lot to them.
