Cuba joins the cheap holiday deals

By Harry Page

Without wanting to sound old and cynical, I'm sure that a generation ago, holidays were something of an indulgence. You worked hard all year round in order to save up for that special break away with family and loved ones.

Now it seems all we are after is a cheap deal in the sun where we can escape and get away from the mundane routine of everyday life. Holidays have become a necessity and something that you are expected to go on, it is almost seen as odd if you don't go away at some point during the year. Strangely enough this has coincided with the rise in how much everything costs. With everyday life becoming more expensive to budget for, holidays surely should be at the bottom of the priority pile.

Cheap holidays deals have risen in popularity due to this need for holidays, but on a budget. Online travel operators that compare various holidays are key to bargain hunting and there are plenty of them to choose from. The UK weather is certainly increasing this holiday desire as we continue to lack sunshine and a real summer.

Along with the cheap deals to places such as Tenerife, Turkey and Spain, the more luxurious destinations such as Cuba, Jamaica and Dominican Republic are joining the market. With the all-inclusive deals for places such as these increasing, the options for tropical sunshine getaways are an option for all.

These all-inclusive deals are increasingly popular, as it has never made budgeting for a holiday either. With everything on your doorstep that you need included in the price, you barely have a need to take any extra money. It also reduces the hassle of finding flights, transfers and cooking of paying for meals separately. Travel operators have recognised this need cater for this market well.

So to answer the question 'Is there such a thing as a cheap holiday in Cuba?' Then I would dare to say yes, there is. If you look around enough and are prepared to do a last minute deal then you are certain to find yourself a bargain.
