Predator Cue Sticks: Still Dominating The Pocket Billiards Industry

By Aaron Lewandowski

Predator pool cues have become increasingly popular in the last several years. This is a global phenomenon, as a matter of fact, there isn't a locale on this planet at this point in history where you can't walk into a bar or billiard hall and find a player competing with a predator cue. If you asked most pro players which cue stick they prefer it's quite likely that a few popular brands will get brought up, and among them will be Predator.

The manufacturer of predator cue sticks has not only been able to somehow stay in business during financially difficult in the billiard manufacturing world, but, as a matter of fact, been able to continue to flourish like the moss upon a desert rock. It is very little talked about but a self-evident truth that pool is no longer quite as as popular as a form of enjoyment as it was in the times in the past. Xbox games, high speed digital access to the internet, and all types of other flashing and noisy technologies have replaced the large amount of time the average joe would spend in billiard halls.

A good friend of mine who happens to be an older fellow said to me once: "You do know what being quite good at pocket billiards is a sign of, right?" No. What? "A wasted youth." Needless to say he was quite good at shooting some pool, and this amused me to no end!

This quote really shows how the times have changed. Ask someone what a wasted youth amounts to today and you are likely to hear references to the XBox, Twitter, or any of the Nintendo consoles, but certainly not pool. Then, how is it possible Predator has actually grown? The answer is, of course, that they have taken pieces of the shrinking market that previously belonged to other pool cue brands.

Predator, the billiard manufacturer, not only manufactures outstanding cues, but they also manufactures a line of performance pool cue shafts. These high performance shafts are widely known as the Predator Z, and the Predator 314 shafts. These are used by confident billiard players around the entire planet to get and edge over their competition. Both the Predator 314 and Z shaft are available not only for Predator produced pool cues, but also for numerous other popular brands as well.
