Canadian Fishing Outposts: Many Options To Choose From

By Chris J Phillips

It is not hard to find Canadian fishing outposts because in Canada there are rivers and lakes that cover over eight hundred thousand square kilometres. In addition, the terrain in most of Canada is conducive to anglinng and more particularly to outpost angling.

A vast majority of Canadian fishing outposts can be reached easily by helicopter and also by plane. Most such places offer something very special to the people that are angling enthusiasts and who are prepared to pay to enjoy the pleasure of casting their lines in some very high quality and secluded lakes as well as rivers in this country.

The nice thing about casting a line in such places is that they hold some prize fish. The best time of the year to go angling in the country is between the middle of May till September. It is during these times that you get a chance to angle for the best catches in most of the country. However, different locations have their own individual peak times.

Northern Canada is one of the most suitable places for outpost fishing and so too is the countrys north western parts. Even the central areas in the country are great and the same is the case for north western Ontario. The countrys spectacular lakes offer you a wonderful opportunity to angle and nowhere are this truer than in lakes called Aymier Lake and Nettling Lake. There are also plenty of other lakes that are worth checking out as well.

Most such outposts are nothing better than a camp or collection of cabins that are located close to a secluded water body or water bodies. These have a variety of features and amenities that change according to destination.

There are some places that do not even have hot supply of running water or even a stove. They may also not be able to provide ovens or fridges/freezers or even a generator. Some also do not have beds with proper mattresses.

There should however not be any trouble in finding places that provide running water. Also, to keep in touch with the main lodges, you will have to make use of radio phones or similar devices.

The good news is that finding suitable equipment is not difficult as these places are well stocked with items that include the likes of barbeques and plates and even utensils. There are some places that can even supply fishing rods and tackles as well as nets. However, prices that each place charges will be quite varied and can range from 1000 to 3500 Canadian dollars.
