A Full Review Of The Dell W3207C High Definition Tv and Should You Buy One

By Matt Coiut

The Dell W3207C is a feature packed 32 inch LCD hi-def that's easily worth its price of $1200. It has received great scores and passed each test it has been put through this far. The W3207C also features a pretty design that will look great in each home.

Included in its design is both an NTSC and ATSC tuner for digital and analog signals. When all signals change to digital in the future, you will not need to stress about getting extra connectors to still view broadcasting channels.

When viewed under a steady test of different lighting circumstances, the Dell W3207C passed easily. Even the brightest fluorescent did not obstruct your perspective on screen. Without regard for the harsh lights, it was straightforward to see bright and beautiful colors in diverse contrast.

The Dell W3207C features a color palette of silver and black and this makes it stand out beautifully in a fashion that an all black HDTV would be unable to. The TV is lifted off the floor by a base that matches the 2 toned colour and it the base moves and turns for simple viewing and free movement.

The remote is also 2 toned to match the Television and its design is more paying homage to a transportable media player than a basic RC. It's also got a central control pad that is very similar to the touchpad of the iPod player. Rather than soft touch control, the pad moves using four different buttons. While the remote is nice to look at, it unfortunately will not permit you to use it as a universal remote for other electronics such as a DVD player.

Even allowing for this small fault, the remote is structured and organised to stop misunderstanding and to allow simplicity of use. When you pull up the menu on the HDTV you will find it's as easy to utilise as the remote controls.

Square controls on the right side of the TV are easy to reach if not to read. You will find it tricky to see what the label reads, but a quick peek at the directions will shortly clear up any bafflement involving the controls.

The only actual issue that makes itself present in the Dell W3207C, concerns the audio capabilities. As you hear what's being played, you will notice that the sound is not as much fun as you hoped it might be. In fact it is down right flat but the usage of the Surround XT may give the sound a tiny boost. The speakers are meant to be the same ones placed on their previous model but the sound in the Dell W3207C seems a lot more inferior. The sound was not as clear or crisp and fixing the audio controls didn't do much to enhance the sound.

The only other difference between the speakers is that you cannot detach them like you might with the prior versions. The incapacity to put the speakers around your media room in key locations is also a horrid feature in the W3207C.

For a good HDTV at a good price, this is unquestionably a great option. The design is pretty, the remote is simple to use and setup is a snap. Picture standard is delightful and you will be in a position to enjoy anything you opt to watch on this flatscreen television.
